Our church offers a selection of books for children or anyone caring for children to take home free of charge. As a church, we have provided well over 2,000 books to the community.
Our church is active in our community in many ways. The pandemic has impacted us, but it hasn't stopped us in our primary focus to serve our Lord and share his love with our community and world. As you read these short descriptions of our various ministries, you'll see how we are working in and through the pandemic to continue the Lord's message of hope, peace, comfort and grace. If any of these ministries interest you, contact our church office using the contact information at the bottom of this page, and learn how you can get involved!

Prior to the pandemic, a team of dedicated folks began early each Sunday morning to make a full breakfast for everyone. They served eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, gravy, sliced fruit, and many options for a drink. The breakfast also includes options for cereals and an occasional pastry treat. The folks involved in this ministry are excited to get back at it as soon as we're able to be together again!
A group of individuals send cards to others in the community that are homebound or ill as a means to spread the love of Christ and help everyone feel more connected and included in the family of Christ.
A group within our church works to assist our community by providing a meal to anyone that is interested. During the pandemic this ministry had to be suspended, but we're working very hard to bring it back beginning in February 2021 with Grab-n-Go Meals to Go!
These fleece blankets are given to children through the local police and sheriff's offices, and social services as "comfort blankets" to children experiencing trauma. The group of folks making these blankets include people from other churches as well as our own.
This group coordinates all the pot luck lunches and other similar events at the church. We also provide bereavement meals to families in their time of mourning.
Our church has a rich musical ministry, but it can be made even richer with you! We have an organist, pianist, a contemporary praise band, and occasional musical soloists of all sorts. Even if you don't play an instrument, that's okay! There are volunteers that assist in the production of the worship service, from audio, projection and video production. If you feel inspired to join in the celebration and worship of the Lord in music, contact our church office.
We ring our church bell every morning at 10:00 am as a memorial for those lost in our community to the Coronavirus. The length of these memorials have gotten longer as we ring the bell one time for each loss our community has suffered. Additionally, through a partnership with the Health Department, we have expanded our card ministry to offer our sympathies and support to the families that are mourning these heartbreaking losses.
We have a small group that enjoys the arts of knitting or crochet. They use their passion to create prayer shawls that are prayed over by the whole congregation and then given to those that need the comfort that such a gift can provide.
Our chapter of the United Methodist Men has been continuously active since 1964! If you're interested in taking part in one of the conference's longest running men's ministry groups, contact the church office to learn about when our next meeting will be held.
We call our chapter of the United Methodist Women the "Doris Davis Circle." This group is one of our church's most active, with several initiatives for our community's children, the elderly and everyone in between. For more information, contact our church office using the information at the bottom of this page.
Ushers and greeters are responsible for making everyone feel welcomed immediately. They will help someone find a seat, provide a service bulletin, or find a part of the building. Ushers will also administer the weekly offering, and assist during communion services. Our ushers are usually selected each week, but if you would like to commit to being an usher, contact our church office and our lay leader will contact you.
The Wesley Group was started 20+ years ago by the group that had just finished Disciple 4 Bible Study. They were not ready to be finished with their studies and had been challenged by the pastor to put their knowledge into action. So, they started a food drive that Christmas. That year they filled 25 baskets. It has grown to fill 200+ baskets some years. This year with the pandemic we filled the shelves of the Christian Life Center with the food they needed rather than food baskets and put about 4.5 tons of food on their shelves. This group started small but now is comprised of many people in our church that make sure this mission of feeding and helping others is served.
